Independent Sales Representative(s)
Job Description
Emma Hayes is a New Zealand based design studio creating beautiful wallcoverings for beautiful spaces. The brand works within the residential and contract markets.
We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and self motivated independent outside sales representatives for several key states, including: Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
You will have a base of strong existing relationships with interior designers and other industry professionals across residential and commercial. This sales position is responsible for championing the Emma Hayes brand and you will be responsible for the growth and management of your territory.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule in-person product presentations for both new and existing collections
- Assist designers with product information providing specifications, quotes, processing orders, and advising on customization possibilities and process
- Manage leads, track and register projects
- Analyze accounts to identify growth opportunities and market the products to maximize sales potential
- Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with design professionals and specifiers, keeping EH and its product and service offerings top of mind
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through research, participation in industry events and trade affiliations
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets
- Provide accurate and timely reports to management
- Participate in sales trainings and meetings as needed
- Travel within territory as required
- Regularly communicate with head office team
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience selling luxury goods within the A&D community, preferably in textiles, wallcovering or the contract market, OR strong knowledge of and interest in, interior design
- Highly experienced in account and project management
- Proficient in CRM, Microsoft Office, Google, online tools and comfortable working digitally and remotely
- Strong organizational skills and follow up
- Energetic and motivated
- Excellent time management, communication, and strong presentation skills
- Exceptional customer service and client development skills

We have short term part-time placements available for interns from time to time. These are based at our studio in Auckland, New Zealand. The position involves preparing samples and marketing collateral and assisting with various studio tasks.
